Full Fee administration
KIDS do all fee administration including invoicing, collection of payments and follow up on debts with the parents. The educator simply remits attendances weekly online to KIDS and receives payment directly into their bank account fortnightly regardless of parent debts or payments. – Peace of mind and guaranteed income for the educator.
Child care fees are set by the individual educator with the service provider charge added to parent charge. This is all administered by KIDS on behalf of the educator. The average fee for the area is used as a guide for educators in setting their fees. This fee is usually an hourly rate charged for a standard 8 or 10 hour day block. The booking is set for the days the parent requests and educator can provide. Casual bookings tend to attract a higher hourly fee however they are also on a standard day of 8 to 10 hours just a flexible day.
Variables include Qualification and specialty areas of the Educator.
Child care subsidy
The rebates are applied by the department for family services and the parent pays the remaining out of pocket gap amount.
The educator indicates whether they provide nappies, wipes and food in these fees. Parents provide individual items such as bottles for feeding, special dietary requirements, sleep aids such as sleeping bags, etc relevant to their child specifically. All other provisions are included regarding the care and education of the child.
The fees are charged as a per day block amount which entitles a family to use any part of the set hours offered by the educator e.g. 10 hrs Families pay for the entire block unless an educator is unavailable for care. This includes public holidays, child absent days, etc. All rebates are administered by KIDS as per govt guidelines and rules as per any child care setting. (subject to families eligibility as per services Australia)
KIDS invoice parents and collect fees on behalf of the educator, therefore, KIDS liaise directly with parents regarding accounts, direct debits, rebates, vaccines, attendance, debts and all other fee-related matters. Educators can be flexible in their choice of start and finish times and the block of hours they offer however this is then set for the full financial year as are the fees charged and inclusions.
